Looking for an expert for advice. I have recently bought an electric car, but am restricted to a range of 10 metres from the house, as that is as far as my extension cable will stretch from my living-room plug. Any advice would be helpful.
How long is your umbilical cord?
Buy more extension cords. Problem solved.
buy a big mobile battery, load it, put it in a trailer, connect it to your car, and go go go

Use a generator or an electric converter according to your needs.
Use a solar panel and create a sail with it.
Install a wind turbine on your vehicle.
Use magnets and get pulled or repelled forward by the environment around you.
Get a horse, you'll be good for 10 km.

CO2 reduction can be only made by organized governments, never by individuals alone, it's too much!
You need to gradually apply carbon taxes, and increase it slowly, globally, and everyone will start to change gasoline cars for electric ones, cause the costs of carbon removal would be added to the value of the fuel, and it would become expensive.
Then, and only then, people will start to buy electrical cars.
To buy alone, by yourself, happens that. You're alone, and no one has electrical cars, so there is no Stations to fuel, you can't talk to your neighbor, asking for hints, nobody knows it. It's unproductive, generates frustration and it's extremely hard.
