Please disable live FEN notation.

It's just a tool that makes cheating easier.

With it it's way to easy to just copy paste a game into program and continue from where it was.

And I know I've played countless games with opponent suddenly starting to play like god, whenever he went down major piece.

And besides that, is there any need for live FEN notations? I know that it is useful, when game is over and one likes to analyze it with program, but does anyone really needs it during game itself?
First off, even God (pardon the sacriligious reference and while he undoubtedly could play chess, I doubt if he's playing on this site) could not recover from being a piece down (well, unless his opponent were more than a bit weak or became lax and overconfident, imo).

When I drop a piece, I'll pay closer attention (watching for a similar blunder by my opponent and trying harder) in an attempt to catchup. I don't think you can reasonably assume better play after dropping a piece means anything (heck! you could just have a human nature habit of becoming lax and overconfident each time your opponent drops a piece, resulting in your losing every one or most of those games).

Second off, that's an interesting way to cheat you're publicizing. Do you know of any others? You might do much better to email the site rather than publishing such methods in an open forum.
Anyone can be beaten by good AI even when he gets piece down. Add time constrain and endgame databases and it becomes near impossible to win.

I'm not sure why you are even discussing that?
Agree with babasaheb,

Majority of the few games I win, I begin having more focus when losing major pieces. Mainly in those cases where opponent has lower ELO rating, I could 'awake' and even start looking for miracles and play like there is no tomorrow, to avoid losing many points.
Well, one more point: just this past 30 days, I've twice dropped my Queen (unintentionally, I assure you), but, was nonetheless able to win those games, mostly due to my opponents being: weaker, and, grossly overconfident/careless. If I'm playing an opponent at my level, I'll usually resign on dropping a piece unless my opponent's been displaying unusual clumsiness.
I'm not arguing that a human can't win against opponent with piece down. I'm not even sure how the discussion went into that. I only pointed that with computer help anyone can be beaten. What I'm really arguing is against live FEN in view of making cheating easier.

Again, does anyone really have a need for live FEN?
it's stupid imo, if i had to choose a time- i'd cheat in the opening, not when i'm losing
Live FEN should only be available when playing against the Stockfish AI, to explore options in an interesting and complex position (which can be a good way to study good candidate moves and/or tactics).

If the above is noted, I definitely agree the option for it against other players is senseless and begging for foul play. It is the single major blunder in the website, and if it were removed, everyone would benefit. I may even sign up.
