any way to play my FIDE tournament games from home?

hello I was thinking of signing up for a local fide sanctioned tournament

but I want to play the match from home where I can look over some of my past games and thoughts on the matter. I thought of bringing a notebook to the match as well.

I don't want an online only rating, so don't suggest that. thanks
Yeah, that's not going to happen.

FIDE-rated games (now correct me if I'm wrong), have to be played at the location. Also, you're not allowed to look over past games/thoughts during a normal game. Not allowed to use a notebook.

All in all, if you want to play for a FIDE rating, you have to abide to the rules FIDE has set. That means; no outside help (as in, games, books, comp evals, etc). Don't know if I can be any more clear.
Yeah, sure. You don't want some chess master to help you during the game too ?
Btw, if you DO want all these things, you have to look into correspondence chess. Check out the ICCF website for more info about that.
Thank you FM do you think that FIDE would allow me to listen to music while I play? I often get into a zone when I play chess by listening to music (no words in it usually too so there's no concern of cheating by changing the lyrics).
FIDE Online Arena hosts online chess just like lichess, but ratings are considered official by FIDE.
Plawo, if you do ever play on the board, just remember its considered bad form to sing loudly and out of tune during a game, especially during a fide tournament. Especially if you choose a Taylor Swift song or similar.
Plawo is not a troll, have some respect.

This is why we need social, to give our users some conversational and social interactive context.

#1 + #2 I had a really long conversation with a FIDE executive who happens to be a close friend and it turns out FIDE had wanted to make online FIDE ratings and OTB FIDE ratings one and the same but pulled out of the doomsday scenario at the last minute. They settled instead for this curious halfway house solution, FIDE Online ratings are synchronised to the OTB ratings but not the other way around.

So the only way to get a bona fide FIDE (lol. see what I did there) rating is to turn up in person (or with get your surrogate to turn up in person if you are a professional cheat) and play watched by arbiters.

Sucks right?
