My Plan To Reach 2300 Elo

The title of this blog is confusing. You said that the 2300 refers to online rapid Elo. But do you mean on Lichess? Then there is a typo in the title---Lichess uses Glicko, not Elo. If the title can be changed, perhaps just phrase it "... Reach 2300 Online Rapid Rating".

Also you seem to be rated 1500 now, so there's no point in having a plan to reach 2300. There's also nothing in your blog that requires multi-year planning, and you don't reference enough material to take you to 2300. Also, long-term unrealistic plans can be discouraging.

So I think your study program seems reasonable, but you should think of it as a plan to reach 1700 Glicko.

Yeah but he has a lot of time too. So it's not totally impossible if he is dedicated. Yes his plans are not enough to become a 2300 , but it's the first step on the learning staircase.

Elo , Glicko?? Nobody cares bro. Elo is like a universal term for rating these days.

BTW , we should not really discourage them. Instead we should teach them how to go in the right path. It's impossible for a 1500 to be a 2300 by using only these materials but after this, he'll become 200 points stronger and so on.
Thanks, I changed it to 1800 elo. Then maybe at some point I can do another plan one I reach that milestone

BTW, I wasn't trying to nitpick. When I read the blog I was confused about what the "2300" meant, because there's a big difference between 2300 FIDE and 2300 Lichess. And to me Elo means FIDE (or USCF).

Maybe Elo = Glicko to some people? If so, great. But if the author wants to avoid confusing some people, it may be worth it to use a different term.

Makes sense! Once you reach 1800, you'll know more about what works for you, and what doesn't, and can make a more tailored plan.
