Ratings mean nothing.

Rating is mean for the player strength.how does he/she plays
I disagree. It means something, I am close to 2000 and the games now make more fun. It isnt as blunderful as it was. People make less mistakes. And I feel like it is more fun...so I do disagree that Ratings mean nothing..
High rating is often about experiences a lot.

But if a high rated player doesn`t know an opening very well, he/ she can struggle to a loss against a low rated player. Often his/ her more tactics then can safe his/ her game(s).

A high rated player also can have bad days and a low rated player can have a very good day if they play together.

A rating can be wrong (Lichess has a very big problem with this). A wrong rating number can manipulate wrong expectations and bad surprises in games. A right rating number can create wrong expectations too. It is very easy to fear a player, rated 2300, but he/ she can be a big chance to understand chess better.

So, ... "rating means nothing" ?- Right and wrong, it depends on different factors, and ... a high rated player is not a better character/ person/ individuum only because of his/ her rating. The same applies to players with low ratings.

ratings shows , should you be ready for complex game or not, actually ther are exceptions for 1700 to be more easy or complex, but mainly the ratings shows , if player is stable now, how strong will he hold position
i always get scared when i see the high ratings of players
but now that i saw what u wrote i got hope again :)

ok ok. I wasn't arguing against learning from your mistakes.
