Bad conduct

And as my final words for this topic, I invite Mr. Alejandro to visit my profile here on Lisschess, i have 1433 5minute and 3 games blitz games so far 685 wins, 687 Losses, 61 draws Stats. , average opponent 1700+ . SHould he read my words, i invite him to analyse, plenty, and more then enough to choose from. And this site offers a nice analyse tool. That should shed some light in any reasonable person, about cheating issues. Because i wont be indulging children that get upset because they want something, and feel like others must obey to their wishes.
If that wasnt clear, in other words, just drop the subject, because i wont be playing him in bullet, or blitz, or any other format. . I will play him in SL tournaments if he happens to be my opponent. Other then that, he can go cry about it, far and see if i care
Rj, dont take my kidding personally, pls, i did not mean to offend you. Seriously, i never doubted any of your games. Also you have reasons to act the way you do and not to play him - there is no debate. //Quite apart from that my current personal standpoint is that 5 min, by all respect, is a cheater-friendly time control. If someone like Alejandrof would challenge me a bullet game, and i am rated up 2200 and am unable to serve whatever bullet - that would become my problem in the long run, not his. This cheater suspect is, i mentioned it a number of times, prevailing in online chess, it will always be in the background no matter how strong or weak the player is, also no matter how convincing his games are. We cannot eradicate it, we can only deal with it. That's the only reason i play bullet myself even tho i dont like it that much.
Well, if i was as paranoid, as some people appear to be , i wouldnt enjoy chess at all. Frankly, when i play, i dont even care if the other person is cheating, i simply dont consider it, and if i happen to loose, i assume i did alot of mistakes. Now, if 5min games are cheater friendly or not, lol... then i can only assume all bullet players are paranoid chess players , trying to escape th reality of things, rather then trying to play a good game themselfs. Dude, i probably lost many games online with someone cheating. And you know what, dont care, and very very rarely i consider it, and went on playing more games. I mean common bro, who cares, we always learn something in everygame. If the other cheated, his loss, learned nothing. No point in being paranoid.
But would love some 3min, or even 2min games, with you mark :) or perl, or Natasha, or any of you fine people here on Lisschess/ second life community. If im online, no need to be shy to send me an invite. I suck at bullet, i have slow mouse, and i smoke alot of weed sometimes, but hey, all can happen in bullet, including heart attacks and laptops out the window... :D Excluding of course, our good friend who i grew tired of mentioning by name.
lol.... i wrote above "thats the only reason i play bullet" but then i thought about it and convinced myself that was actually not correct. imagine you play a rapid game 15 min. at some point you have less than 8 min left on your clock - from then on you actually start blitzing. But after that at some point you have less than 2,5 min on the clock and you actually start bulleting, either you want it or not! So when someone says "i dont play blitz, i play only rapid" - this is simply wrong, because they still play blitz but they are not conscious about it. The same thing with bullet. So when you play blitz/bullet you actually simulate the ending stage of a rapid game. And if you managed to avoid the time problem in the end of the rapid game - that would simply mean that you played fast enough to avoid it.

I think the word "paranoia" is a bit out of context here especially in sl which is a role play platform and its in common there to pretend to be someone what the person is not. I ve seen many sorts of players who played beautiful games with me at rapid tournaments but rejected all my blitz offers, not even mentioning bullet. One even put on his profile page that he was GM 2500 and another that he was 2600, or telling me whatever glorious stories about their chess career, including Darth Vondran, who claims GM, to say the least, but who seems not to play chess at all in public, which created huge problems for him around the legitimacy of his status as chess expertee. So I play bullet because i dont want to be one of them, it betters my self-esteem ;D
Yes Mark, in your case, and with your rating, im sure you are most affected by cheating possibilities. Perhaps paranoia ( and i wasnt refering to you as being paranoid, rather some other players) is a strong word, perhaps fear, or suspicious mind, english is not my first language, words may to be the best sometimes.
Well, cheating exists, and i agree with that. Lets just hope you buid a strong comunity on this group, all fare players, and we can at least trust each other on this group, people we played and met few times. Its really impossible to control everything, thats life.. but its possible to play a game in any time control, learn and enjoy, regardless if the other player feels like he needs "help" to feel better about himself. In the end, win or loose, the honest player always wins... and honesty is not always rewarded, sadly, (loosing to someone who cheated as example) but nothng to do but continue to be honest ourselfs. How we handle a loss is also a test on self control and self confidence.
Thank you, Rj, nicely written. I hope Zue will dismiss me from the Pole-Position sometime soon and then she will be responsible for building this community, not I any more ;D Back to the bad conduct. I disagree when ppl call it "paranoia". I would call it "reasoning" because statistically what we see currently in SL doesn't make any sense. Here on lichess there are about 300 000 accounts, 50 000 active players and only one GM so far - but even that guy turned out to be a fake! There are not many GMs on the planet actually. Whereby in SL we have maybe about 700 players. Most of them are occasional players. Maybe 50 are regular players, some lot of alts and some lot of parasites interested more in chess contests rather than in the game. However in SL there are already at least 3 self declared GMs there, some self declared IMs and a whole lot of "masters" who really played rapid like masters, whatever they say they are. What the hell is going on?! ^^ Thats why we have this elo listing here and the Chess Player Verified group in sl. The paragraph 2 of the group policy says: <2) The chess skills of ANY avatar in Second Life can be put in question. Such suspicion is INHERENT to the nature of Second Life; it’s not an insult; it’s given and should be dealt with.> I could not put it down better than this and I still can't.
Hello,

I know this problem very well. In one of the last SL tournament, I won a game because the opponent blundered. After the game she accused me to play with computer and that she will check my games and even insulted me. The next round, she also lost against Natasha. I found out later that she also thought that Natasha was a computer, but I don't know if she also accused and insulted Natasha.

On the next day, this person appologized.

Well, and now I try to find out what bullet games are, because I must be a cheater because my lichess elos are around 1900-2000, but my bullet is only 1281...
I know you're talking about
but I have not played with this person in the tournament
in the last round I played with you, Pearl.
