Are you religious but without a god?

i think, some of you would say yes to this question but ive got no clue yet. Pls enlighten me, help me understand what this is about, how could this be, or if my question is one of those "dumb questions" that do not make any sense.
let me add, i know there is animalism, but im also sure, non of you civilized people are animalists anymore.
I am not religious but I try to lead an ethical life.
Descartes to paraphrase" said while I do not believe in God the only rational course is to live life as if I did".

so its like asking if you need god:
if you would live another life if god exists, you need him, else you dont

in wikipedia i did read:
1) Brahmā is a leading god (deva) and heavenly king in Buddhism.
2) In Buddhist tradition, it was the deity Brahma Sahampati
3) The term Brahmā in Buddhism refers to the leading god
so, now i think, its a translation misunderstanding between the words diety and god, the more i read the clearer it gets, that ive got no idea about buddhism yet and what i thought i know is wrong. interesting. and as i criticize schools so often: maybe they should teach 1 or 2 hours on this major religion, wouldnt be wasted.

I don't need fairy tales to be moral... if you think you need fairy tales for the basis of morality...

Yes Buddhism is a religion with no God. I'm a Buddhist so I know this.
@Foolsmateinfinity No,not at all.i try to do the right thing because it IS the right thing.
Surely we all have an inmate sense of morality though some choose to ignore it.
