omelette.

but seriously, I am a creationist (Christian more specifically). I don't really feel like arguing over religion rn tho.

Me too, I'm a creationist (Muslim). A religious debate is for another topic, I'm too lazy for now. [though I don't think it's omelette because before omelette you need egg].

So I say... chicken.

yeah I have to agree, but....

have you ever heard of vegan omelette??!?! the plants before the chicken so omelette before the egg!!!!
The thing that laid the first egg that contained a chicken was not a chicken - if the evolutionists are correct a non-chicken laid a mutated egg which contained a chicken.

OP says it has to be a 'chicken egg' but is a chicken egg an egg laid by a chicken or an egg that contains (or potentially can contain) a chicken?

Vegan omelette? it's an oxymoron. Either it's a vegan food, or it's an omelette, because vegans reject eating animals (lol).

And [ plants before chicken => omelette before egg ] is not logical. It's like saying [ 1+1=2 => for every right triangle, hypothenus^2 = sum of the squares of the other two sides ].

Look up vegan omelette. I didn’t say it made sense, just that an omelette (a vegan one) could have been created before the chicken was created, and therefore the omelette came first. Now, if you say that a vegan version of a non vegan food is not actually a version of that food, then your argument makes sense, but omelettes forever!!!!!
@dstne I was thinking like that, but if i was asked "chicken or egg", I wouldn't say "omelette", because it's a result of egg. I would simply answer "chicken".

you have to have cause to be adamantly passionate about, and mine is the third option. My original comment was definitely not a joke.
