Magnus wants 2900 ELO Rumors flying regarding defending World Title only if Fiourzja wins Candidates

Or Mamedyarov wins the Candidates but Ding Liren is 2799 in solid Third on the fide rating list just 5 rating points behind Fiourzja ... Will Carlsen play if Mamedtarov or Ding win The Candidates ?

he would have gotten 3000 fide blitz in that one match against ding in 2017, had it not been for the stupid fide rule that games in an already decided match don't count towards rating

Ding will be the world champion, same thing that happened to Karpov when he was awarded it in 1975.

I think Magnus was just frustrated when he said he would only defend against Firouzja. I think when push comes to shove, he will attempt to defend his title against anyone.

Feels like a repeat of each "generational" player' ... They get involved in the 'politics' of chess ... We don't want another controversy

He just gained 3 or 4 rating points getting 9.5 outta 13 at Tata Steel tournament ... Going to be tough just to get over his old high or 2900 ... really difficult'

I just hope Magnus Carlsen plays Chess for the World Title All the time & not be like Kasparov or Fischer (Though Kasparov played more times than Fischer's 1 time ... Kasparov broke off with FIDE once for a few years there) . The World Chess Championship should be every 2 years not 3 like it used to be or 1 like it is now . Every 2 years a 20 game Match ... So that defending the title yearly does not get 'boring' or too taxing (too much)
