Multiple accounts allowed for GMs?

I am really not asking this to hurt Lichess or its hardworking team members. I am doing with a lot of curiosity. I see GM Magnus Carlsen has 2 accounts here. How is that being allowed?! This question only made me post this here: How did one person's GM title get approved for 2 accounts??

And in the defense of lichess,

The multiple account rule isn't really exercised aggressively. It's there to reduce it ofc but I know there are a lot of non-masters who have more than 3 accs+..

Things like these are not priorites of mods and devs although it is not allowed ofc, They care more about lichess server management, bug fixes and fair play to keep the community active and free from toxicity.

Think of it as the annoying guy at walmart taking free samples constantly vs the guy actually shoplifting items and putting it inside his pants.

Hope that clears it up for you. Or maybe you don't want magnus taking free samples from you I understand.

I believe that titled players are allowed more than one account as concealing one's opening preparation becomes of more importance at that level.

Hi there. When I created a Lichess account, it said "excessive multiaccounting will result in a ban". So even patzers like me can have multiple accounts, particularly if it's for good reasons like blindfold play, or maybe even drunk play etc. But doing it excessively, or to game the system in some way, is what Lichess doesn't like.

Anyone please correct me if I am wrong. I am not a lichess mod or anything like that.
