Find a Chess Study Partner

LichessChessTacticsOpeningEndgame
If you truely care about chess, finding a study parter will be the most benificial things you'll probally ever do in chess.

Introduction

Hello, Lichess community. I'll make this blog quick, but the truth is studying chess can commonly lead to frustration because it requires a lot of focus dedication and effort. However, if you consistently practice effectively you will improve, and with enough time and practice you will get better, it's impossible to not get better if you try your best.

I recently followed along with an interview with pioneering legend Anatoly Karpov in 1979. The key thing he mentioned was to have an enthusiastic chess-studying partner around the same level as you so that you can learn from each other. Having a study partner in chess who is at a similar level can be incredibly beneficial for both players. By studying together, you can bounce ideas off each other, explore different strategies, and collaboratively analyze games. This creates a positive feedback loop, where both players can deepen their understanding of the game and improve their skills. Additionally, having a partner who shares your enthusiasm for chess can make the learning process more enjoyable and motivating. It can also provide a sense of accountability and camaraderie, which can help you stay committed to your practice and ultimately achieve your goals.

How to find a study partner?

Finding a chess study partner on Lichess is quite simple. First, you need to create a Lichess account if you haven't already. Once you have an account, you can join the Lichess community and interact with other players.

To find a study partner, you can use the Lichess forum or the Lichess Discord server. In the forum, you can post a message in the "Seeking chess partners" section and specify your skill level and the type of study partner you are looking for. You can also respond to other players' posts who are looking for a study partner.
On the Lichess Discord server, you can join the chess study groups and chat with other players who are interested in studying chess. You can also use the server to find a partner who is at a similar skill level as you.

Additionally, there will be a forum that you can access by clicking the "Discuss in forums" blue button near the bottom of the screen. Thanks for reading and I hope you find the person you need! Please leave a heart and follow me for future beneficial blogs.
