Pawn sacrifice against the Owen's defense

Hey guys,
I recently had a look at the line 1. e4 e6 2. d4 b6 3. Nf3 Bb7 4. Bd3 c5 5. d5!? for white, which I consider to be quite interesting.
Does anyone of you have experience with that?
I couldn't find any analysis online and my database doesn't contain enough games so I could find instructive games in that line.
After 5. ... exd5 6.exd5 Bxd5 7.Nc3, many people have played 7. ... Bb7 though, which is an inaccuracy, although white never exploited it. After 8.Nb5! white has a comfortable game.
5. ... Nf6 is also not a challenge in view of 6.Qe2, so I believe the most challenging move should be 5. ... exd5 6.exd5 Bxd5 7.Nc3 Be6! (which takes Nb5 Qe2+ Nd6+ ideas out of the position).
Any opinions on that line?
It seems to me that is side-line side-line theory and and quite a good score for white. Reminds me of the trendy QID

1. d4 Nf6 2. c4 e6 3. Nf3 b6 4. g3 Ba6 5. Qc2 c5 6. Bg2 Bb7 7. d5 exd5 8. cxd5
Nxd5

which gives white an edge.

That's where I got the idea from, actually.
I don't know whether it is such a sideline, since 4. ... c5 is quite common.

My idea is an attempt to put black immediately under pressure and prevent him from entering into familiar territory. It's often good to counter-attack people playing a side-line with unusual ideas, which - in my experience - throws them a bit off track, since they cannot play their normal setup.
Another example would be the Nimzowitch defense with an early Be3 to prevent Bc5 from happening.
