First move should have a time limit.

I'm "playing" a game with anonymous, started a couple of hours ago and is still going, it's a four minute game, but because he didn't do the first move (I started with d4) his time is not running out, mine either because it's my turn. So what I'm supposed to do, abort the game? Aborting it's penalized if you abort too much. So all options are bad for me: If my oponents move, i will loose on time probably because I will be busy doing another thing and I have to resign (I can play during the time of the game, not some random 3 hours later) If he does not move, I have to abort myself, and I get penalized. If no one moves or abort, it's a game hanging on current games with no purpose at all.

the problem: The guy has unlimited time for the first move (after the first, the clock starts so no problem, but the first move he can take 2 hours if he wants, and what I do?)
You can abort after some time and not get a penalty, after even some more time the opponent gets the penalty.
I agree with you, @Santo. I think after 10 seconds without no move, there should be a maximum limit of 20 seconds to move for the game be aborted.

i think auto-aborting would be a good thing. the current penalty system can be kept, the player not moving could get penalized
You can abort the game after 15s. The player who failed to move will be penalized. Anonymous users can of course not get a game timeout.
How do you know exactly 15 seconds, give me your source please. Auto abort should be cool after 15 seconds.
Sources should be links, if not, How to trust them? Words could be fabrications.
The issue you brought up has been answered many times in the forums. ProgramFox explained in detail the last time it was asked. Members of the moderator team tend to not lie about stuff like this.

You can abort the game after 15s without receiving negative consequences, unless you are the one refusing to move.
