Don't play the bird

After 5. g3 or 5. d4, it is Black who is losing still.

With that said, saying Black is "losing" is tongue-in-cheek. However, the fact that White has three options that all have winning scores after 4...Bxd6 shows that White has plenty of solid options at his disposal, and each offering independent styles of play. I personally recently preferred the more provocative 5. d4 with ...g4 5. Ng5!? (this is said to be refuted in long play, but in blitz it is very fun to play) with the idea of sacking the knight for an attack. As a matter of fact, it appears to be the most played continuation on Lichess, with over 1,000 games and a winning percentage for White.
