Tal Baron confession

Tal Baron released confession video on youtube about his cheating accident.
He says there that he only cheated one game in Titled Thuesday on chess.com against opponent who in his opinion was a cheater.
He says that he was in the heat of the moment when he did that.

My question to you people is:
Is it possible to cheat in the heat of the moment?

I play chess online for couple of years and I have no idea how to cheat.
Would have to find out how to do this:
google it, probably download some programs and install it which is impossible in my opinion to do during the tournament after being already paired up with the guy.
So it looks like he must have been prepared to cheat.
Is it possible to TO BE PREPARED FOR CHEATING and CHEAT ONLY ONCE in the heat of the moment?
It looks like impossible to me.
What do you people think?

its very easy to cheat just in the heat of the moment as he said, just pick up ur phone switch on an engine....
