Can no longer refuse rematches?

Hello. It appears lichess changed the way rematch offers are made? Now upon a rematch request, the rematch button turns blue, and if I click it, I accept the rematch.

But if I don't want to accept the rematch, and want to have the courtesy of notifying my opponent immediately, I cannot. I just have to leave him hanging while I play back the game.

Small thing, but in my opinion not an improvement.
It is not an improvement, it is extremely annoying. Some developper had a bad day, and now we are stuck with his decision. Pls, let's get rid of this nonsense, why can't I decline a rematch? It is the worst thing on lichess, but nobody wants to see it. I dont understand that, what is the point? It is ugly and does not make sense. Pls, developper, show some mercy. I want to be in control of my decisions, not some stupid blinking rotating ring, it is so stupid, sorry, but it is the only word to describe that blinking horror.
I can imagine this change has been made in order to avoid people ignoring the opponents decision and offering rematch again and again. Yes, there are such people. But in order to avoid that just add a counter how often a rematch has been offered, once, fine, twice, ok, maybe, the third time should not be possible. It is easy. Much better than what we have now, imho.
#1 Go to the analysis board to review the game. It's more convenient and it declines the rematch.
I like this feature. When I dont want to rematch, I just click on Play => Create a game, etc. And when I want to accept, I see my opponent disposition directly.
Most people dont answer me when I say : "Good Luck and Have Fun !", so I guess they dont f*** care about courtesy most of the time anyway.
I still don't get why taking out the option to refuse the rematch offer is an improvement. Sometimes, when I issue a rematch offer and my opponent doesn't leave the game, I keep waiting for a response... then I decide to leave. He hasn't the option to tell me he doesn't want to play.

@thibault To the user receiving the rematch offer, going to the analysis board or decline the rematch offer and replay the moves on the same window (old behavior) are both one click away. And it's not clear to the user that going to analysis board explicitly declines the rematch offer. So I'm really not sure we have an improvement here. Ok, that this situation happens only when the player decides to replay the moves on the same screen after the game, but I'd bet this happens a lot.
#5 Going to the analysis board is a bit cumbersome way to decline a rematch. Why was the previous rematch solution abandoned?

What if you play a crap game that you don't wanna analyze and after that would like to play a new opponent? Then you have to go to the analyse board only to decline (without analysing because the game was crap) and then go back and challenge a new one.
Well, so for once in my life I don't want to analyze my bad game, and they are all bad, and I dont want to search for a new opponent either. Let's suppose I want to do the unthinkable and just sit there, look at the screen and not play the next game like all the other maniacs (of course, I am one of them.) All the time there is a blinking threat, an opponent who thinks i am going to play another game with him (he loves those opponents who blunder their queen in every game). I mean, come on, that is more than ugly.
What could be the motivation behind such a design? That it is not polite to decline a rematch? In real life the conversation would be: "Want another game?" Answer: "No, thank you." Does the answer really come as a shock for my opponent? Hard to imagine.
