Line under graph in profile page

Under the rating graph in your profile page there is a small thin white line. What does that line mean?

I already asked this in Q&A but no one answered
I don't understand why no one is replying to this question. There are 25 views but no replies when in reality it's a very simple question ;)

The white line shows how often a player plays in lichess.

For example: if a player plays many games in 1 day, the line will have a positive correlation because the time spent playing increased.

The opposite occurs if the player decreases the amount of time spent playing.
It depends on the background :)) I have a white line because my background is dark :))))
@White_Queen_1990 So you have the theming on light.

I assumed the line (what color ever) does only show the all over rating progression. Not sure what is shown if you play a lot of variants, but if you look at profiles of players who only play one variant, the line correlates with the rating progression.
