Why is it draw ?

I just played these two games and at the end, it's draw. I was thinking the same move has to be played at least 3 times. Rules changed, now it's only two times ?

I was (almost) winning twice, I am disappointed! Maybe I just don't know the rules but i made the move twice only to earn time to concentrate myself a bit more. :)

The *position* repeats 3 times - it doesn't matter what moves lead to threefold repetition. After 27 Qd2 the position is reached for the first time. After 29 Ke1 the position is reached for the second time. After 33 Qd2 the position is reached for the third time. So even though the moves were different the actual positions were the same.
#3 Yes it's when the same position appears for the third time, not necessarily by repetition of moves, it's draw.
If the same position is repeated for three times, it is threefold repetition.
All right i see ! I didn't know it has to be like that.
Good explanation! It's the position, not the moves. Just a small technical point in addition: everything has to be the same in positions 1,2, and 3. For example, if one side could castle in position #1 but not later, or if en passent was possible in position #1, then it's not the same position. Everything must be the same. And OTB, you don't make the repeating move. If you do, you can't claim. You write the move down, show your opponent, or call the director if there's a question.
