1. e4 d5 2. exd5 Qxd5 3. Nc3 ....

My standard response, nothing out of the ordinary so far....
..Qa5 4. d3 c6 5. Bd2 e5

Not the move I was expecting but i'll happily gobble up the free tempo..
6. Ne4 Qc7 7. Nf3 Bf5 8. Nfg5...
To be honest I'm not sure why I felt so precious about this knight exchange but I really didn't want to give up that spot on e4. It really was a pointless task as it's no great hardship to shoo me away with h6..
f6? I really wasn't expecting f6, it was at this point my mind started whirring trying to figure out all kinds of lines.. How does Qh6+ play out? What happens if I bring out my light squared bishop... you get the idea.
Nxf6+ Tal is my chess hero so why not do as the big man himself would, bamboozle my opponent with a crafty sac, it just felt good, it probably isn't but I like to have fun and try these things, you never know how they may pan out..
Nxf6 10. Qf3 g6 I like how this is going, now his knight is unprotected and his pawns are less of a defensive resource the further they are away from his king..
10. Qf3 g6 11. h3 Bh6 12. g4 Qf3 seemed as good as any move to keep the pressure on. Pressure has to be a factor if you're throwing away pieces, the attack cannot wane else the day will be lost! g6 seems reasonable so I telegraph my own idea's with h3 the bishop on h6 cannot become a distraction so I follow through with my plans..
11. h3 Bh6 12. g4 Bxg5 13. Bxg5 Bxg4 14. Qxf6 en.lichess.org/oS6bqlYH/white#27

We trade bishops and again my opponent makes an odd decision e4 would have been my try after 13 Bxg5, anyhow I gobble up the knight and add more pressure directly aiming my queen at his un-defended rook!
Qxf6 Qa5+ 15. c3 Bf5 16. Qxh8+ { Black resigns. } 1-0

Black prolongs the agony by weakly lunging at me with a few checks but ultimately my sacrifice seems to have paid off. I love it when a sac comes together!
