[Suggestion] Start a game with a certain opening?

Hi!

I recently started looking into the Grunfeld defence so I thought I'd put the theory to practice. I set up a lobby game with black and then waited for someone to join. Five people in a row played e4 so I aborted them all because I was very keen on trying out the Grunfeld in the wild.

I now am banned from lobby games for 15 minutes, heh. While I agree with the quick ban would it maybe be an idea to implement a sort of side-lobby where you can specify which opening moves you want to start with? I know there are such tournaments already.

I guess an idea could be to have a checkbox for this in the lobby, so you could choose whether you want to see challenges of ths kind.

Please publish here which opening moves you want you and your opponent to make and what color you prefer to be.

That would add exactly nothing to the conversation.

How about creating a thematic tournament where nobody would join?

I don't think that would add anything to the conversation either.

1. e4 is the most common opening move. The OP will have to create and abort many games and stay banned for lots of time before someone plays 1. d4.
Perhaps it would be better to practice some openings starting with 1. e4 or start as black and play 1. d4.

@lego00 ye its interesting idea thou. I wanna study openings the same way, i am looking for a way to understand those thematic tournaments.
