Think before asking the machine. Have fun!
(White to move and draw, the black passed pawn moves "down")
de.lichess.org/cgMDlOLuOk, nobody seems willing to solve it.
First of all, 1. Nf6 is a nice idea but losing. Correct is the following. Three knights win against one knight but here... :D
de.lichess.org/S2txa5PF Go Nf6 opponent will take your knight and stalemated king.draw game
No
@risky-chess , he will NOT take the knight after 1. Nf6??, this is a nice idea but losing (as mentioned in #2)
3 knights vs knight is a really strange endgame I don't think it would be easy to win it at all.
By process of elimination you can say black will not play Nhxf6 or Nexf6 because of stalemate so you check other moves. Black has king moves and pawn move along with other knight moves besides the capture you can eliminate them due to insuff material and the knight will sacrifice for the pawn so its a draw.
I gave you the author's solution. 3 knights vs. 1 knight last only for a moment. After that you have 3 vs. 0 and stalemate or a 2 vs. 0 which is draw. Really beautiful!
