Χαῖρετε! Hello, I saw that we have "Lingua Latina"among the languages. I'd like to add "Classical Greek" as a language, if you guys agree. I'm sure that there'll be many people who can contribute at this work.
Later people may add some other dead languages, just for fun. Maybe Ottoman script, who knows:)
εὐτυχεῖτε!
Yes, Sumerian for example ... and Sanskrit!
Sanskrit is not dead. It has been kept alive by many manuscripts.
@vkrish Thrilling to hear that the historic sanskrit language has survived through live manusctipts!
Yep (I'm actually of Indian descent btw)
Who's making fun of who, I don't get:) Still I speak: A dead language is a language that no people use as a means of communication actually. Latin is a dead language too, but of course we have many, many manuscripts, books, etc.
I guess so...
Cornish is a great example of this. My local government area spent over £20,000 on promoting a language that about 400 people know a few phrases in.
Cornish? Never heard of it. Where is it from?
Erm... Cornwall!
It's the best part of the UK, on the South West coast.
