Colours - suggestions about graphic design of website

I think they are gorgeous; don't change a thing. I will develop a piece set selector ASAP.

Congrats, you just entered lichess contributors list.
hi.there are some them for chess board you can add them who like use.the extra think above rate aleska rating
the menu point (in the top menu) should probably be "design preferences", or just "design" rather than "colors", now that you can select pieces.

also, very cool design pirouetti - and great work thibault - whenever i have a test coming up i know i can rely on lichess to provide me with quality procrastination time. appreciatez
Is it just my eyes or did you change the contrast of the black/white-board? This helps with readbilty of the coordinates in training mode. But it only helps for this version of the board since the others seem unchanged. The old contrast settings looked a bit "snappier" but the new one is nice, too.

Furthermore, the new chess pieces are nice. I still prefer the "old", simplistic ones but its nice to have a choice. But what bothers me is once again the low contrast edges with the new pieces. Especially white pieces on white squares are not optimal I think.

Last but not least: The pieces do not immediately update on the board when you change them in normal puzzle mode. The piece which indicates whose turn it is, updates. The others dont. In coordinate training mode its fine.

So far - thanks for your effort. :)
Yes, the grey board was changed. Basically everything on this site is subject to change, and I do tons of updates every day. Contributions are always welcome.

There's indeed a problem with the new pieces on light or dark background. I had fixed that with the original set of piece by creating an inverted version of them. Maybe it should be done with the new pieces as well, but we'd need a way to automate this processing. Any idea?

I can't make pieces change on the fly in puzzles, board editor, and analysis view. It's a technical limitation of chessboardjs, the library used for these functionalities. You must reload the page for the new pieces to apply.
I didnt quite get the part with the "inverted version". What do you mean? You dont seem to talk about inverted colors...that doesnt make too much sense for me when I think about black/white pieces. And what about the processing which should be automated? Sorry, unable to grasp your point here.

As for the contributions - as soon as I get a flash of inspiration or something to help you, I will. :) For now its only about small glitches which appear here and there.
