Glitch?

Near the end of the game, my pieces wouldn't move correctly. I was trying to move my castle for the last 10 seconds of the game. There was a green circle on one of the spaces too. No idea why.
I tried clicking off the board, I tried both tapping and clicking & dragging on my trackpad. Nothing would work. Really frustrating because it made me lose the game.
Green circles (and arrows) are features for analyzing or pointing out something. Usually they can be drawn with secondary click.
They also can be drawn with shift click. So maybe there was something on your keyboard. A cat maybe? =^.^=
I just got awarded points because I played against a cheater. Do you think that has something to do with the above explanation?

Seems to happen regularly these days.
No I don't think that is related.
I think your trackpad had some issues to separate primary and secondary click at this time (maybe some dirt), and/or a cat was sitting on your shift-key. Meoow. ;-)
I have three cats. One of them, Bobby, loves to watch chess on my laptop. He changes screen resolution by sitting on the board, disables the mouse, sometimes makes little cat moves. Cute, but bad for my rating. He's not such a good player. Maybe it's my fault, I should teach him better habits.

The gentleman/woman's problem sounds as if it is indeed a secondary or right click, or a mouse battery, dust, and/or cat.
Thanks for you suggestions. I can understand how you came to those conclusions.

My laptop is in prefect running order and it's the same one I've used to play 902 games of chess. Never have I had a single problem with the trackpad. Nothing before that game, and nothing since.

Anyway, I think it must just have been freaky untimeliness. This cheating thing got me curious about it too.

Thanks again.

Oh btw, I don't have a cat!
"This cheating thing got me curious..."

Perhaps the cheater hacked your box?

Or your (virtual) cat? Cats have poor API's ;-)
#6 You SHOULD have a cat. Probably two. Possibly three. Cats are the best.

Right now I'm ill in bed. My gf is at work, but I have three cats lying on the bed to keep me company...
