What do you think of the Darren Wilson verdict and the riots?

I'm watching CNN right now and seeing some disturbing things, people lighting buildings on fire, cars on fire, guns being shot, massive looting, among other things.
Those #Ferguson looters were soooo grief stricken they had to steal a big screen TV.

Paying tribute to a dead man through the upgrading of your stereo system for the price of a brick.
Reminds me of mourning Mark Duggan in the UK. At one point, I called the police to restrain the mourners in their more gratuitous acts of grief.

While I deplore the unhelpful violence, I also wonder about what would be the legitimate outlet for frustration. While the dead person may have been a less than wonderful person (as with Mr Duggan), repeated unnecessary shooting by the police is wretched behaviour for representatives of the state.
I guess the criminals lucky the police don't riot the same if one of the officers get shot.

its more about sending a message; if the police don't uphold the law then why should we
Yes , it is a message but lets not forget there is better ways to communicate.
That other people misbehave is no excuse for misbehaving yourself. "Everybody's doing it" is one of the worst excuses.
