I think 15 minute games make you improve.
In them you have to think and come up with ideas, in 1+0 you just use the reources you can see in the 1st second or so, and mostly rely on expierience.
Also longer games allow you to use things you have learned about.
in either case you're still applying what you know to the situation on the board; longer times just means you have longer time to consider/reference what you know.
In neither case are you generating new knowledge aside from the experience.
well you do in longer games
you sometimes consider new posibilities and come up with new ideas in 1 minutes you will allmost allways stick to your knowledge.
sometimes in 1 0 i consider new possibilities because my commitment is lower (only a minute or two).
either way your consideration is the source of your ability, not the new possibilities
Second and third ones sound the best to me.
[on the subject] lol, it's either way for me I guess, the variety as described earlier, I spent 6 hours every day brainstorming against Crafty Level 8 and winning and that taught me a few things, but I never knew how to do 1 0 back then.
sounds cool :D ,,relaxing
