Voting about changes

Admins constantly change everything on lichess and i understand them because they want to make site better and i it. However i feel like some novelties were unnecesessary and even made it worse. I think it would be awesome if lichess users could vote for or against such changes. For example "find new game" button, i feel like admins dont want to return it back even though there were many complaints about it. I understand that owner of lichess may do whatever he wants, however i think that it would be better if u asked users opinion on some changes. I want voting system before implementing any changes.
I'm all for hearing what players like and want. But there will be no voting, because people will then think that I must respect the vote results. I won't.
Lichess is not a democracy. As the benevolent dictator, I will do whatever I think is best for lichess, and sometimes that means ignoring complaints and resistance to changes.
you said "sometimes". How many times you did not ingore complaints?
I don't remember such case when admins said "we did some shit, sorry we will make it as before"
It happens. The global, multichannel chat comes to mind.
We most definitely will not be implementing a voting system of that kind. Change happens and there's only more to come. We certainly aren't going to have slews of votes on the changes we make, on average there are at least 10 changes a day.

And #5 is very naive. Have you seen the amount of stuff that has been optioned out on the preferences page?
My opinion of changes varies between what they do.

For example, the upgraded chessboards and 3d sets in October were welcome, because all they did was add something new to the site. But changes that are forced, with no option to revert back, I dislike.

Due to the disgruntled tone of this thread, I recommend closing it. Thank you.
