The new number #1

...hasn't signed in since the end of February, and actually only played games for two months in total.

For how long do players retain their ranking positions without playing competitive matches?
I'm not worried as such, just wondering how much time has to elapse before it happens...
Don't think it does at the moment, but you're right, it probably should.
That's nice, I'm not used to Admin thinking I have anything worthy to say. I'll not say anything else in case that changes :D
Just a lowly mod. Thib and Clarkey are probably who you're looking for.
Nah, it's just you need to think some of your ideas a bit further through and find more basis in your reasoning. Pools aren't even finished yet, so they aren't as visible as they're going to be. There's no need for drastic changes before the simple ones have been attempted.

If you're going to have strong ideas/feelings about something, you better have more to back it up than "there are strong players in the 1+0 pool, therefore the 1+0 pool is exclusive to strong players." It's not a very strong or connected argument, and it's all you used to support your idea. There's a magnitude of other reasons as to why that might be the case.

After 3 months of inactivity you lose your rank. github.com/ornicar/lila/blob/master/modules/user/src/main/Ranking.scala
Thank you for a vote of almost confidence, Clarkey, and for being polite to me for once :D I will try harder...

If one loses one's rank after 3 months of inactivity, how has abyssus NOT lost his top position after 3 months and a week of inactivity - or if inactivity means playing, a further two weeks?
If you look at what Clarkey posted, I think it's only come into effect from May 26th, so you won't see an effect until August 27th.
