Same problem here (or at least same symptoms), with Firefox 11.0 on Debian Squeeze (they call it "Iceweasel" because of the notorious Debian vs Mozilla controversy, but it's the same).

I can't play on lichess.org anymore; Whenever a game starts I immediately see the "Reconnecting" icon and I have to refresh to page to see any changes. The "Reconnecting" icon stays on indefinitely
and has nothing to do with my Internet connection, which is quite stable.

I don't know what changed during the last 12 hours, but it broke lichess.org completely for me.

Chromium version 6.0.472.63 seems to work, though.

I also tried Midori, a lightweight Webkit-based browser, and it says that I can't play (no WebSockets support - weird).

PS. A big "THANK YOU" for this awesome site. Keep up the good work!

Hm, I tried Midory, arch on 25.4.12. And he worked.

chess.com work good with browsers

BUMP!!

Still totally unplayable for me (I'm the user with Firefox version 11.0 on Linux).

I've tried playing many times during the last 24 hours or so and I've pretty much confirmed that it doesn't depend on server load (so it's not the "lichess outages" problem); not even 1 successful
attempt!

This is too bad, I was just starting to love this site.

thibault, please advise on how I can help you debug this issue.... i'm not a web programmer but I know enough to be able to supply useful info, with proper guidance.

this may come from a firewall, I don't know. I'm pretty sure it works with ff11, but you may want to try it with ff12 (stable) or chromium to make sure the browser is not the problem
