About what the users want, I said most of what I thought about :
average rating of one's opponents (per time control)
knowing the value of a parameter with conditions on other parameters (for instance : my winrate on the games I played with white against an opponent between 1500 and 2500, or the average rating of my opponents for my draws, etc)
the rating curve available on one's profile
a firend of mine added : acess to the database, ie the possibility to launch his own requests.
If I think of anything else, I'll let you know.

Do you know about the open source software called SCID? It's chess database software that allows for all kinds of filtering, and from any set of games constructing a tree which shows things like win %, average rating performance in that branch of the tree etc.
Maybe easier to incorporate that somehow rather than roll your own, unless you are already far down the path.
