Internet Chess Client for Lichess.org

Playing via browser we have few hundred MB memory taken , playing via client - let's say BabasChess for FICS -I see 10 MB .
So - is there any chance for Lichess.org not only in a browser ?
And where do you get that "few hundred" number from?
Probably from all the memory that chrome.exe uses by caching everything.
ctr+shift+esc (windows task manager) 487,2 MB Firefox with 1 tab open .(yes plenty of addons)
Well, I could open in slimmer browser and have 50-180 MB but ...
I'm just asking....
and no cache -private mode- and this first and only tab
It will be good to have a client. Because in Chrome and even in FireFox pieces slow down while driving it with mouse, because of a lot of RAM. In light browzers they don't slow down, but there is reconnection. The cursor "sticks". And because of this you waste 0,2-0,3 seconds in a bullet.
By the way, it's strange. Because when I move the cursor without pieces, it doesn't slow down. It is only with moving piece. And pieces didn't do that, when i used IE. And they slow down even in a capcha. In any board on lichess. May be there are problems with board code?
Since you're using Firefox try about:memory instead, which gives a detailed breakdown of just what's causing Firefox to eat up all that RAM (most of it is just FF itself; all browsers are like this). You'll see that lichess is quite a bit lighter than most other webapps (facebook, Gmail, etc).

By the way, #6, lichess has move time compensation so you don't, in fact, lose time.
Hellball -you missed my point - I know that excellent lichess.org is very light for features that it compares , and I know about and want to have RAM heavy(because of addons) Firefox profile for daily browsing my power user way .
I only would prefer to have my 1-3 hour session of chess on light client (offering the same experience as in browser).
no doubt lichess.org is the most lighter site that i have come across so far!! FYI without any cache with my damn slow net it opens smoothly..
